Lobby Congress: Support the Abortion Justice Act

Throughout our history, NCJW has worked to advance reproductive freedom to ensure everyone can make their own faith-informed decisions about their bodies, lives, and futures. Yet even before Roe was overturned last year, abortion care was not accessible to many, especially people of color, young people, LGBTQ+ people, and individuals with disabilities. The Abortion Justice Act would change the status quo by affirming bodily autonomy and providing enhanced resources and protections for abortion care across the nation. It is time for this historic, intersectional legislative response that removes systemic barriers to abortion care and affirms access regardless of zip code, income, immigration status or background.
